On the evening of April 19th, the WGQ Cultural and Art Center was twinkling with warmth and tranquility. A special charity concert titled “Music For Your Smile” commenced, marking a night of ‘firsts’ for our school. It was the inaugural charity concert organised jointly by both of our Parent Support Groups (PSG) and the first combined performance of our music teams from the Kangqiao, Xueye, and Sanlin campuses. Excitingly, this was also our first event held in an external theatre.

Behind these numerous ‘firsts’ lay the warmth and dedication of all the PSG volunteers. Their silent contributions spanned from meticulous theatre details to support at the performance and careful logistical planning, all combined with their love and effort.

Students from various campuses and grades in SUIS Pudong shared their music, embodying friendship and harmony. Their passionate and talented displays showcased the infinite charm of musical arts, deeply moving the audience, who responded with continuous applause. Additionally, a video performance from the charity organization Prayas Nepal added an exotic touch to the evening, highlighting the boundless allure of music.

We thank the nearly one hundred PSG volunteers and performers for their wholehearted dedication, the school’s music teachers for their meticulous planning, and all who worked tirelessly to contribute, as well as the audience for their enthusiastic support. Let us continue to use the power of music to warm each other and contribute more love to charitable causes, making the world a better place through our efforts.
