Dear Parents and Students,
On behalf of the entire SUIS Pudong community, welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. Our primary commitment is to you, our families. We are dedicated to being your trusted partner, providing support and a continuous educational pathway from Primary right through to High School. It is through this strong partnership that we fulfill our core mission: to ensure every student is fully prepared for success at universities and beyond.
As part of the greater Xiehe Education Group, SUIS Pudong strives for a rich East meets West philosophy based on our community. We have built a school that is rooted in the rich heritage of Chinese family, community, and educational values, while simultaneously fostering international outlook, experiences and opportunities. This is achieved through our collaboration between our Chinese and international staff, who work together to blend the best and complimentary aspects of both systems. By supporting both local and international curricula and opportunities, we are committed to developing truly global citizens who are prepared for the future.
Our academic program is built on both the national curriculum and designed to provide a holistic and balanced education. While we maintain a strong emphasis on core subjects such as Chinese, English, Mathematics, and Science, students will also take regular courses in Art, Drama, Music, and multi-curricular subjects like humanities and STEAM. Students can further explore interests through Co-Curricular subjects, where they can prepare for academic competitions, learn about Shanghai’s ancient history, or furhter develop their talents in visual and performing arts.
Beyond academics, we place great importance on developing strong character, teamwork, confidence and leadership skills. This is fostered through daily Form Tutor sessions, our Student Council and House System competitions. Students can also challenge themselves through our developing flagship programs, such as the World Scholars Cup, the competitive rowing team and the transformative Gobi Desert Resilience Challenge.
Academic success and strong character result in our students and families enrolling in univerisities around the world. We are incredibly proud of our recent graduates, who have gained acceptance to prestigious universities worldwide, including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and other excellent institutions from Japan and Switzerland to the United States and France.
