On 27th October, the 80 students in Grade 4 of SUIS are celebrated their long-awaited 10th birthday!

The wonder of life lies in conception and growth. The first cry of the babies, the first walk, the ignorance of going to kindergarten, the timidity of stepping into the primary school for the first time. Now, they are working hard to move forward towards their own dreams and goals, all of them have been infused with the strong love of their parents and teachers, and we have recorded the footprints of their growth in the “Record of Growth Book”.

The children showed their growth and progress to their parents and teachers with their talents show such as street dance, song and dance performances, and poetry recitations.

Who says that the heart of an inch-long plant, can requite the radiance of full spring? The children used flowers and songs to express their gratitude to their parents for their meticulous care and concern over the past ten years, and thanked them for holding up the shade for themselves with their big hands. Going back to the long river of memory, a frame of images, a scene of smiles, how hard the road of raising children is! Mothers and fathers expressed their blessings and expectations for their children with a letter.

Lighting birthday candles and making good wishes, may every child’s dream come true.

Accompaniment is the best love of parents. After lunch, the children changed into house uniforms and spent a happy time with their parents in the “Parent-Child Play”. The children enjoyed a variety of activities, such as: “You act, I guess”,  “Parent-child jumping rope”, “Fun ring”, “Crab race”, and “Basketball on head”……

These activities are the warmest interaction between children and parents, and is a wonderful blessing for the festival. During the activities, the children extracted badges of honour through their efforts. Each badge is like a piece of growth they have gained. Growing up means that the children will eventually learn to be independent. Afterwards, the children were divided into houses and participated in the flag rugby game. The brave and responsible children were sweating and enjoying the joy of sports. The activity gradually came to an end with the parent-child tug-of-war, leaving behind the wonderful memories of the children and their parents struggling together.

At the end of the activity, the children released balloons together, letting go of their ideals and moving towards a better self.
Ten years old is an important milestone on the road of growth, from tender childhood to youthful teenage transformation. Let’s remember the bright smiles and the wishes we made when we were ten years old. May all SUIS students have the best ten years old and a gorgeous future.
