On March 28th, in order to cultivate students’ awareness of environmental protection, LSS G6 students visited the Shanghai Chengtou Water Group Co., Ltd. After their learning experience, the students will know how to purify water, cherish water, and protect water.
At school, the students have learned water purification methods such as sedimentation, filtration, chlorination, etc., but how does a factory purify water? Let’s visit it and see the water become clear.
Based on the teacher’s explanation, the students are familiar with the traditional water purification process, and learn more water purification methods. They are amazed that the tap water produced in the factory has reached the standard for direct drinking water.
Our museum practice courses create more opportunities for students’ experiences. During this activity, students not only learned about traditional water purification processes, but also contacted the forefront of science and technology. In the future, students will develop good water use habits through doing a data review and questionnaire surveys, cultivate their awareness of cherishing and caring for water resources, and develop good water use habits.
