Merry Christmas from Shanghai United International School, Pudong!

Last Saturday SUIS, Pudong Campus wished its parents, students and local community members a very Merry Christmas by hosting the annual Winter Bazaar and Christmas Celebration. The event featured some of the most interesting and original entertainment we have ever had making sure that all visitors had a fantastic experience with students from the primary school beginning the day in style singing Christmas Carols and performing in their grade choir, then finishing with a world class magic show in the school theatre. The event featured delicacies, delights and modern entertainment from around the world and turned out to be one of the most successful days organized thus far. A big thanks goes out to the PSG members and parents from our community who supported this event especially Lillian who really made it possible through the donation of her time and resources in organizing logistics for the day. A huge thanks also goes to Santa and his family for helping us make the day so special for all the children and families involved, Grazie. As the children sang through the wonderful Christmas ensemble prepared by Ms Yoon and Ms Emily from our highly talented music department, the entertainment on the ground level featured Indoor games organized by the fabulous Teresa and Co, face painting run by the amazing Ms Elena head of our art department and the Virtual Experience center where students were given their opportunity to enter the virtual world and explore opportunities within this new stage of multimedia technology. Thank you also to Aijun Horse Riding Academy who brought one of their star Shetland ponies to show children some riding skills, tips and tricks although this area had to take to cover after lunch as the snow arrived on cue just as Santa Claus was coming into town.

Finally as grade 1 to 5 had finished performing flawlessly in their Christmas Carol Choir groups the finale of the afternoon took to the stage as a world class magician mesmerized the audience and captured imaginations throughout the crowd during the afternoon’s magical performance.

On behalf of our Principal Ms Sahi and the entire SUIS Pudong team I would like to personally thank all of the parents who took part in the planning and implementation of this event and to acknowledge the building of a strong partnership between PSG members and the school in planning events such as this. We hope to continue this shared vision and event planning in the future to continually improve and expand the activities and services offered to our school community.

This cooperation is highlighted in the collaborative sharing of charity collection and charity donations with all benefits to be shared equally between the schools and PSG allocated charities for this year.

Best Wishes and a Very Merry Christmas from us.
