Please excuse our appearance! There were a lot of bearded men (and students!) on our campus during November.

Movember is a world wide annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of various cancers, such as prostate cancer. The goal of Movember is to change the face of men’s health. By encouraging men (whom the charity refers to as “Mo Bros”) to get involved, Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Besides annual check-ups, the Movember Foundation encourages men to be aware of family history of cancer and to adopt a healthier lifestyle

Our A1 Student Leaders Holly Watson and Sacha Dube planned a special ‘Movember’ non-uniform day on Friday 25th Movember (!) for the Secondary international school.

Students were asked to donate 20RMB to wear something blue to school and lots of students also wore fake moustaches. All proceeds go to raising awareness of Prostate cancer, it is not too late to visit the link below and donate money: http://mobro.co/suispudong

This was a fantastic event with the students raising over 5000RMB. All proceeds went directly to the ‘Movember’ charity. This was a huge achievement for our Student leaders who organized the entire day- they couldn’t have done it though without our volunteer ‘Mos’ so a big thank you to all of the teachers (Primary and Secondary) and Sacha who grew their ‘tasches, and Dr Gilkes and Mr Blackband who set up the Suis group.

Please visit the Suis pudong live website to see more of the students and teachers rocking the facial hair .their ‘tashes. A special thank you to all of the teachers (primary and Secondary) who grew moustaches!

Please visit https://www.movember.com/   using the code ‘Suis’ if you would like to donate to our staff team’s fundraising page.
