From the sports field to Suzhou Creek,
SUIS Pudong athletes have more good news to share!
Two Pudong titles for our Primary flag football teams.
Two sixth-place finishes for our Lions rowing team.
Ready to compete, stronger together—here are their latest sporting highlights.

Primary Division A | Champions
From their rain-soaked debut in Grade 3 to the top of the podium, members of one of the school’s first flag football teams have turned a year of training into a new achievement.
Last year, they finished as runners-up in Primary Division B. Now in Grades 4 and 5, they competed in Division A, advancing from the group stage in second place before facing the group winners again in the final.
This time, they held their nerve. A determined defensive performance kept their opponents scoreless and secured the title. From their first tournament to becoming Pudong champions, the work they put into training came together in a decisive final.
Primary Division B, Mixed Category | Champions
Our nine Division B players delivered an equally impressive performance: five games, without conceding a single point!
Under the hot sun, the team stayed focused through successive matches, combining disciplined defence with well-timed attacking opportunities. From third place last year to champions this year, their progress reflects a shared commitment to training and competing together.
Another Honour over the National Day Holiday
On 6 October, our players also earned a Third Prize in flag football at the Shanghai Amateur Sports League Rugby Competition and Yangtze River Delta Youth Rugby League, adding another achievement to their season.

Rowing demands strength and endurance, along with coordination across the entire crew. Every stroke, every drive and every change of rhythm depends on the rowers working together. Against strong competition, the Lions kept their composure and put their training into practice.
Following last year’s debut, this second appearance brought fresh challenges on a now more familiar course—and further opportunities to learn and improve through competition.
Five Star Sports also interviewed our rowers at the event, capturing their experiences and reflections. Our thanks go to the parents whose support for training and competition helps students take part in major events and discover what the sport has to offer.

A title rewards past effort. Every return to competition is a new challenge and chapter waiting to be written.
Returning to competition opens the next chapter.
Congratulations to all our athletes and thank you to the coaches and parents for their commitment and support. As our teams take these experiences back into training, we look forward to seeing what they achieve next!
