Dear Parents,
How lucky we have been this week with such lovely weather on both sports days! We thank all the parents who came to watch their children enjoy the sunny, cool weather and have fun participating in a range of fun events. Mr. Paul Romano and his team, aided by all the teachers, ensured that everything ran smoothly. We are grateful to all involved.
Next week on Tuesday 31 October we will be celebrating Halloween. Classes will take place as normal in the morning but after lunch there will be fun activities in the classroom and a Halloween parade. We hope the students have fun dressing up. Please do not send any snacks or treats to school.
It seems that some parents are not aware of the school’s WeChat policy. Please take note of the content and follow the policy:
WeChat is a social media tool that is used by many people in the school community.
This can be a useful tool for sharing information but it needs to be carefully managed so that it does not become a vehicle for unhealthy gossip and rumours.
- Parents with a problem are to contact the homeroom teacher first.
- If teachers are unable to solve the problem, they will consult with the grade coordinator and if necessary, the Leadership Team.
- Students are not to be discussed on WeChat nor are pictures of other people’s children to be posted on WeChat without the permission of their parents.
- Teachers are not to be discussed on WeChat nor are pictures of teachers to be posted on WeChat without their permission.
- Parents are not to be discussed on WeChat nor are pictures of parents to be posted on WeChat without their permission.
- Email and home/school journals are the required method of communication.
- The right of any individual to privacy must be respected.
- If these requirements are not met, you may be contacted by a member of the school Leadership Team.
