Recently, students from SUIS Pudong Middle School took part in the SUIS CROSS-CAMPUS Debate Competition, competing alongside 12 teams from four different campuses. Through rounds of sharp exchanges and thoughtful argumentation, our students demonstrated impressive critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence on stage.
The competition consisted of three intense debate rounds. During each round, students presented their arguments with clarity, responded to opposing views with composure, and adjusted their strategies under pressure. After each round, they took time to reflect carefully on their performance, reviewing their argument structure, delivery, and responses. Through this process of preparation, debate, and reflection, they continued to sharpen both their thinking and their voice.

Facing strong competitors, SUIS Pudong students showed focus, resilience, and a genuine willingness to learn. With solid preparation and steady performance, our teams achieved excellent results, finishing 3rd and 4th overall.

These achievements are not only a recognition of our students’ debating abilities, but also a reflection of the qualities we deeply value at SUIS Pudong: confidence in expression, thoughtful reflection, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence.
