A day to remember!

For the first time ever, the SUIS Pudong Lions Rowing Team took to the waters of the prestigious Shanghai Rowing Open — one of the city’s most iconic sporting events — and made history with a full-team finish!

Since early September, the team has been training with full commitment — extra conditioning sessions after class, weekend practices at the water base — every pull, every drop of sweat, building strength and spirit stroke by stroke.

For a debut team, finishing strong isn’t just a result — it’s proof of endurance, teamwork, skill, and willpower. This marks the moment the Lions truly rowed beyond training and into competition.

Racing alongside outstanding teams from across the world, our students experienced the thrill of an international-level event — an unforgettable step that widened their horizons and boosted their confidence for the future.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated coaches ensured every detail was perfect — from warm-ups to strategy, equipment checks to recovery.

And our amazing parents, the “strongest cheer squad,” stood by the team with encouragement and pride every step of the way.

This first race is not the finish line — it’s the beginning. The Lions will keep rowing forward, braver and stronger. The waves they made today will carry them toward an even brighter tomorrow.
