As the morning sun streams through the grand windows of the hall, accompanied by bursts of cheerful or melodious music, each school day begins with a unique and refreshing “Morning Concert.” This distinctive activity has gradually become a vibrant and beloved feature of our school.
Each week, students from different grades across the Kangqiao and Xueye campuses take turns serving as “Music Ambassadors.” They might perform solos on the piano or violin, or form small bands for choir performances or ukulele ensembles. In the hall, students heading to their classrooms often slow their pace; some sway gently to the rhythm, while others cast appreciative glances towards their performing peers. The atmosphere is both warm and enthusiastic, as applause, cheers, and music interweave, merging into a powerful, uplifting current.

“I used to be very afraid of performing in front of everyone, but the Morning Concert here gave me courage. The applause from my teachers and classmates made me feel truly warm and supported,” shared a young G3 pianist excitedly after completing her piano solo.
The original intention of the Morning Concert is to allow art to integrate naturally into the children’s daily lives. It is not only a stage for showcasing talent but, more importantly, a means to nurture their self-confidence, expressiveness, and appreciation for diverse cultures. Music is a universal language. The Morning Concert replaces commands with musical notes and warms the heart through art. It has successfully integrated aesthetic education into the school culture, injecting joy and confidence into the children every morning and playing a prelude to a journey of growth filled with limitless possibilities.
