From students spontaneously forming teams, experiencing various challenges, to achieving dazzling results, this journey is not just a quest for knowledge but also a path to forge willpower and cultivate teamwork.

The World Scholar’s Cup, originating from the United States, is a global academic competition for middle and high school students officially supported by Yale University. Every year, around 50,000 students from over 140 countries and regions participate in this academic extravaganza. Since 2020, Michelle, Eva, and Yifei teamed up to participate in the Scholar’s Cup competition. These three students went from having no experience to qualifying in the regional rounds, advancing to participate in the global round, and ultimately representing the school in the World Scholar’s Cup Yale Champion Round to compete. Throughout this journey, they faced various challenges, including the sudden pandemic leading to competition delays, academic pressure, and time zone difficulties. However, they persisted, bravely moving forward, ultimately earning the qualification for the Yale University champion round and achieving proud accomplishments. Particularly worthy of thanks is the immense support provided by the school; it is this support that allowed them to showcase unlimited potential and talent.

The Scholar’s Cup competition covers six major fields of study: science, social studies, history, art, literature, and general knowledge, including four core competition events: the Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge, and Team Debate. These events not only promote the expansion of students’ knowledge but, more importantly, cultivate their personal abilities and teamwork skills. Such competitions are not just a feast of knowledge but also an excellent platform for self-improvement and broadening horizons.

At the championship round held at Yale, 900 scholars from around the world and 300 participating teams were involved. Our team achieved outstanding results in various events: winning a gold medal and ranking 28th in Collaborative Writing, securing a gold medal and ranking 42nd in Scholar’s Challenge, winning a gold medal and ranking 64th in Team Debate, and earning a gold medal and ranking 129th in the Scholar’s Bowl, and so on. These achievements not only represent the students’ solid knowledge base and excellent performance but also a full display of teamwork and the ability to face challeng-es. On this stage gathering outstanding scholars worldwide, they earned honor and brought this glory back.

This competition was a valuable experience, becoming an indelible part of their lives, inspiring them to continually pursue excellence in their future endeavors. Let’s collectively cheer for their achievements and look forward to them shining brightly in the future. The spirit of pursuing excellence will inspire more students to bravely chase their dreams and write their own splendid chapters.
