Grade 6 Orientation Day

On August 30, in the cool morning breeze of early autumn, the middle school met the sixth-grade freshmen for the first time. The students were welcomed by the teachers’ warm smiles and warm greetings.

The ice-breaking activity, carefully arranged by the head teacher, soon eliminated the strangeness in the hearts of the students. Every student took personal photos of themselves, leaving the first silhouette of their junior middle school life.

Next, the students attended the welcoming ceremony. Director Yin of the middle school department extended her sincere welcome to everyone, and put forward her ardent expectations. The small red scarf in primary school was changed into a big one, indicating that the students have entered a new stage of learning and growth, preparing for the new life of the middle school! Finally, the ceremony ended with the lively school song, leaving the students having a different feeling about the SUIS school life.

After the welcome ceremony, the students also followed the moral education teacher, Ms. Shi, and carefully studied the rules of behavior for middle school students. Many students quickly integrated them into their practice after learning, and had higher requirements for their own behavior.

In the afternoon, returning to the classroom, teachers and students cooperated to build the class rules and temporary class committee. After that, the teachers of each subject entered the class to meet with the new students, and explained the learning requirements of the new semester, to help the students to prepare well for the study.

The one-day training was successfully concluded with the efforts of all the teachers and students, full and happy. Although the camp was not long, we believe each student can have a fulfilling day with joy. With the teacher’s cordial guidance, students’ harmony, mutual help, we believe that the sixth-grade students can step upon a new stage of learning. Let’s start sailing here!
