On the 14th of November, the 2020 Xiehe Education Group cross-campus swimming competition was held in the Xiehe Qingpu Campus swimming pool. A total of 210 swimmers from 5 campuses in Pudong, Hongqiao, Qingpu, Wanyuan and Shangyin participated in the competition.
SUIS Pudong prepared earnestly for this important competition. In order to ensure that students can perform their best in the competition, five swimming training sessions were specially arranged before the competition. For each training session, we had professional swimming coaches on-site to provide guidance and proper training.
On the day before the competition, we were honored to welcome G4 Lion Joy’s father to assist the swimmers. He is a professional swimming coach and a national swimming champion. He provided the children with psychological guidance before the game, explained the detailed rules of the event and all the related matters to swimming properly. It helped to build confidence in our young players.
There was a great deal of excitement at the competition. It was an incredibly lively atmosphere! Before the event, the players are rubbing their hands with a high morale. During the competition, everyone is trying their best. Each swimmer is reaching forward – hoping to reach their goal of winning the race.
After the fierce competition and everyone swimming heroically, the young players won 10 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals. Got the 4th, 5th and 6th places altogether 21. Additionally, in the team event, the fifth grade 4*50 meters freestyle relay won the second place.
We would like to give our warmest of congratulations to our swimmers, who worked so hard for this event. We would also like to thank Mr. Benjamin, the principal of The SUIS Pudong campus, for cheering and applauding our contestants. Lastly, we would like to thank the parents and volunteers, as well as the teachers, who led the team with their dedication and hard work.
