From June 2 to 8, our school held the project-based learning activity Innovate for the Future · Explore the Robot Valley for Grade 5 students. During the five-day practice, students visited Zhangjiang Robot Valley, explored intelligent technology through interdisciplinary learning, and designed futuristic robots with creativity.

The activity kicked off with an expert lecture. Each class drew tasks themed on military, public service, entertainment and household use, and started their exploration with study manuals in hand. At the Robot Valley, students got a close look at cutting-edge robots for industrial, service and medical purposes, experiencing the charm of technology. Afterwards, a series of interdisciplinary tasks were carried out simultaneously, including creating Chinese textbook dramas, researching proportional models in mathematics, delivering English themed speeches, producing AI dynamic videos, designing artistic creative models and choreographing robot-themed cheerleading dances. Students worked together to finish model building, video editing and drama rehearsals.

On June 8, a grade-level achievement exhibition was held in the lecture hall. Wonderful works including robot models, AI videos, textbook dramas, English speeches and cheerleading performances were presented. Awards for Best Creativity, Best Practicality, Best Team and Best Design were presented on site. The outstanding works will be displayed in the school library.

Fueled by technology and rooted in practice, this activity has effectively cultivated students’ innovative thinking, practical skills and team spirit, allowing their dreams of science and technology to take root and thrive on campus.
